Which do I trust for accurate body fat - hand held device or measurements?

About three weeks ago the handheld device I have for body fat percentage and an online US Navy calculator that uses measurements were giving me similar results of about 12%. Now the electronic device says 10% and the online calculator says 20%! I went on vacation and didn't really eat that well or exercise much for a week but I can't imagine I gained that much body fat, especially since I only gained about a pound of weight.

A lot of devices vary quite a bit, even thermometers. If what you see in the mirror looks fine, then no problem.

You're just going to have to trust the recruiters on their BMI results. That's what I trust. I also maintain my weight to keep under my maximum. I exercise a lot to keep my body fat % lower too.
