How can I fix my car wheels to stop them screeching,mostly when reversing car,any ideas?

Tips and hints in combating this problem myself.

    This is from the front brake pads vibrating at high frequency,usually worse when first starting out.

    Fixed by removing the pads and applying anti-squeal compound to the back of them to prevent their movement.

    The screeching can come from a few different things. The serpentine belt might need to be replaced, you may be out of power steering fluid, or the power steering pump is going bad.

    it may be the warning scrapers on the brake pads, a brake job will fix it

    Do not apply hand brakes for long period.
