How do smaller electronics lower amperag/voltage?

If you have two electronics , a vacume and lamp for example plugged into the same 120v/est.15-20amp wall outlet and one doesn't need as much electricity as the other how does the lesser one keep from burning out?

The voltage is common for both, So they wont get affect, the current rating is maximum allowed

The load can hw much they need to operate and purely that is coming from source..

The current rating rated will not affect any device, But not the voltage..

For example, You cant connect a 120V and 230V device in a same socket, The 120V device will be blown..
