Aluminum transmission pan or a steel one?

I am about to buy a new transmission pan and I would like to know which one is better. This is for a Chrysler LHS 96. The aluminum one is more expensive but is it really that much better?

You will not notice any difference in performance from one pan to the other . The only advantage of the aluminum is it cools a little better and less weight but you lose strength if it gets hit , it will break not bend like a steel one .

  • since that car sits so close to the ground, the aluminum one would not be the safest bet. the steel one is what i would go with.
