Is there a difference? PLEASE HELP!?

This is my question: Do families from different cultural groups and socioeconomic status prioritize family expenses differently? For example, someone who is Hispanic, low class will worry about food, clothes, housing before any personal investments.

This is for a sociology paper. I am NOT trying to stereotype. Please give some examples of your family or what you would think would be about right.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

HI - it's not about cultural groups it's about levels of poverty within a society. The Joseph Rowntree Foundation have written and researched extensively on this - take a look at this publication:

    http://www.jrf.org.uk/publications/attitudes-spend...

Research in the UK shows that mothers tend to go without in order to avoid the stigma of their children not having the 'right' stuff (clothes and visible consumption). They will scrimp on invisible consumption.

    Oh for an equal society!
