Am I making a big mistake by doing this?

So, I've done a lot of thinking and well , I think I want a new start.

In August , I plan to delete most (if not all) of my accounts online.

None of the major ones, just the small time ones

where I spend most of my time.

I know it sounds selfish but, they just put too much stress on me.

Honestly, I think it will do me good.

Not only that but... when and if I make new profiles online,

I kinda want to be someone I'm not.

I know it sounds stupid but, I would really like to be kinda a genderless person.

Not a girl nor a guy, just ...a person.

And I also want to go by a different name.

Something that's ambiguous.

I'm thinking, the less clear I am about myself, the better.

Because then, I wouldn't have to worry so much about my image.

So...what do you think? Should I do it?

Update:

NOUB- Apparently you care enough to answer this. Moron.

Update 2:

Sam- I see your point. I wouldn't trick people though.

I'm sure I would keep most of my traits and what not.

I guess in a way, I would be the same person, just...less open about myself. :/

If that makes sense.

I agree with you on deleting most of your online accounts but I don't think you should create a profile and be a different person. That's like being someone you aren't and tricking and lying people. Why would you want to do that? you should just love the person you are.

Not selfish. You should do that. That will help the stress levels go down and people need a break from the Internet anyways.

Also, like Sam said, be yourself. You can just be less open about yourself and all if that's what you're aiming for.
