Is Obama the outsourcer in chief?

How can Obama rail on about Romney and outsourcing when the "Obama Jobs Council (is) Packed With Outsourcing Companies". The quote is the title to a July 16, 2012 Huffington Post article. Additional quotes from within the article:

"There’s General Electric, whose CEO Jeffrey Immalt has served as chair of the advisory board since January 2011. Since Immalt took over GE in 2001, the company has lost 37,000 American jobs and added 25,000 jobs overseas" and

Chris Townsend, political director of the United Electrical Workers labor union that represents roughly 5,500 GE employees in the U.S., said "the company has closed more than 30 U.S. plants since Obama took office. GE is a company that, despite the constant claims of growth, continues to shrink in the United States,”

These facts are not coming from some Conservative think tank but the Huffington Post! Quotes are not from a con blog but from a union political director.

Update:

In fact it's so bad that even the ultra-liberal Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has expressed discontent over the president’s economic stimulus, indicating to ABC News that the law was falsely advertised to Congress. “In all due respect I remind the secretary [of Energy] there is a four-letter word associated with the stimulus — J-O-B-S,” Schumer charged. “Very few jobs here, lots of jobs in China. That is not what I intended or any other legislator who voted for the stimulus intended.”

It's one thing for private industry to outsource, but it's quite another when your own President does it using taxpayer money!

The list of Obama's outsourcing and wasting TAXPAYER money is a long one.. too long for this answer, but read for yourself!

No, because President Obama is not asking the companies to outsource. To do so, would make him a socialist, instead of being a capitalist which he is.

For companies like GE, there is some outsourcing but there is a difference between moving the job that builds the product sold in America overseas and creating a job where your customers are overseas. GE is doing more of the latter than the former. The Bain companies did more of the latter.

If you want to reduce outsourcing, then vote for President Obama who has policies to reduce outsourcing while policies of Governor Romney has policies that either encourage it or turn a blind eye toward it.

General Electric Co. (GE), once vilified in the U.S. for leadership in outsourcing jobs, is pulling more information-technology positions back in-house.

Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Immelt has said GE will add more than 15,000 jobs in the three years through December. About 1,100 will be just outside Detroit in a center for information technology, a field emblematic of outsourcing. So far, GE has hired about 660 people in Michigan, a state that led the nation in jobless rates, making it a symbol of U.S. industrial decline

Companies such as GE and General Motors Co. (GM) that once led in outsourcing are in the forefront of a move in the opposite direction: adding workers back to their own businesses in mature markets like the U.K. and the U.S., said John Keppel, president of information services and chief marketing officer for outsourcing consultant TPI Inc.

“This president has been outsourcing a good deal of American jobs himself by putting money into energy companies, solar and wind energy companies that end up making their products outside the United States. If there is an outsourcer-in-chief, it’s the president of the United States, not the guy who’s running to replace him.”

this isn't good, but outsourcer in chief is probably a bit strong...

at the end of the day, all you have here is Obama went to those who DO OUTSOURCE to ask them how to stop it... seems logical to me...

while Mitt was actually OUTSOURCING HIMSELF...

the only question is, if Immelt himself was running against Obama, who would you vote for... the guy who did the outsourcing or the guy who hired the guy to work on outsourcing...

Absolutely Obama and his boy Jeffey are outsourcing more jobs than all of the jobs being "saved or created" as the Marxist in the WH would say
