Hungary is part of the EU but they still use the Forint.
There are exchange booths located in the downtown area of Budapest, at the train stations and airport. You will get the best rates if you shop around , they rates vary slightly from booth to booth. The stations and airport give the worst rates as well as the Western Union booth in the 5th district, that booth really rips people off.
We live in Hungary.

use Hungarian Forint (Ft) if you don't want get ripped off. Restaurants and tourist traps accepting euro will use shitty rates and make your payment more expensive for you. change euros or other foreign currencies to Forint and that's the best

Vienna, Austria and Budapest, Hungary are component to the european Union. In Austria the Euros is the forex, in Budapest the Forint. interior the interior city in Budapest, there are distinctive change workplaces placed, the position you may change your US dollar to Forint- the present change cost is about US$a million.00=Ft220.00 verify their prices previously you transact, you're shocked about the adaptation. Please save in ideas- circumvent replacing your forex in Europe at Airport, practice Stations- they provide you the bottom cost. once you've Euro, there is not any problem to replace Euro to Forint both.
