Gas up your pickup and drive to Odessa.

Now I've never met an Anglo native of El Paso, so I can't tell whether they sound different from the rest of the state, but the differences today among Abilene, Amarillo, and Aransas Pass would require a hounddog's hearing to distinguish.

The old East Texas accent, perhaps the most Southern of all, such as Lady Bird Johnson's, died out with her generation except perhaps in some backwater of the Sabine.

So basically, that dog don't hunt.

Talk to people who have that accent. Go on Youtube and listen to people with that accent. Practice talking like them.
