About 40 different men wrote the Bible over a period of 1,600 years. Moses wrote the first five Books of the Bible, and the Apostle John wrote the last - The Revelation. The Bible describes the writers this way: "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (II Peter 1:21).

While this may surprise many people, the truth is that there is more evidence that Jesus Christ really existed than there is that George Washington lived. The reason: people who don't want the truth try to convince themselves and others that He did not exist - so they write books, and some of them become believers in the process. This is what happened to Lew Wallace, the writer of Ben Hur.

Books such as Evidence That Demands A Verdict, by Josh McDowell, and hundreds of others present concrete evidence that will stand in a court of law. It also is a science - called Apologetics.

As far as what BBC presented? When unbelievers make a movie, why would they present something that is contradictory to what they believe? Besides, who paid for the film and what did they believe?

If you want to know more about the truth of Jesus Christ, I encourage you to read the Bible. Start with the Gospel of John and read it with an open mind.

Who Jesus really was (and still is) is more than just an intellectual issue - your eternal life depends on it. Consider these two verses from John 20:30,31: "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

The word "life" in the above verse means eternal life, which God freely gives to those who are willing to trust His Son. This promise of eternal life coming only through Jesus Christ is repeated many times in the Bible. Here it is again in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Moses wrote the first five books of the.Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit. The rest of the books of the Bible you all see but you have to read it because it does mention who wrote them. Why would Jesus be a Buddhist monk if he taught about afterlife and not reincarnation? I smell a conspiracy by BBC. Look at what else the media teaches and you will see who actually runs the media.

so you're using a bbc documentary to judge scripture as a lie ?

and then you come here asking for historical fact on the HOLY bible.

    listen young one,

the right thing to do would be to do a google search ... provided by God ... to LEARN about scripture facts. All you need to know is out there ... do some research, lots of reading and analyzing.

and at the end of it, if you still claim that its a lie ... even God cannot help you.

Well Jesus never existed, so it's a lie anyways?
