9/11 is just 1 example of how evil religion is.

  • Religious people tried to capture old wisdom in the Bible. Some of the Bible is good, the rest is trash. As for the Vatican, they have some nice history and treasures. As for the human spirit, religion is a substitution of knowledge from the Neolithic era, when there were no explanations or when reasoning was not developed. Today we do not need religion. In fact, religion has always been the cause of dismay, condemning people for being who they are and obstructing knowledge when it is truth. In short, religion is not only evil, it's mediocre. If you need strength, you can have faith in anything. You don't need gods to have faith. I also believe that humanity is getting better every day, although sometimes it's hard to see.

There is no such thing. If there were no God, religion would simply be a taste set among thousands of ways of fulfilling it. If it is a matter of truth, that is, There is a God, then your question is irrelevant.

Truth in Religion: The Plurality of Religions and the Unity of Truth

    Mortimer J. Adler

"When I say "Squash is gross" and you say "Squash is good" we aren't really disagreeing. All I mean is "I don't like squash" and all you mean is "I do like squash." Those statements don't conflict. But when I say "The top quark exists" and you say "There is no top quark" we've made conflicting truth-claims. When it comes to squash, we can both be right--not so with quarks. To say that there is a God is to make a truth-claim. It is to assert the existence of an individual, just like in the quark case. Either there's a top quark or there isn't-either there's a God or there isn't. "

  • There is no such thing as "Good" or "Evil", just "Healthy" and "Unhealthy" and Theism, being a form of mental illness, is very very unhealthy.

    Neither.

Religion can certainly cause some good things, but it can also cause some "evil" things.

At least with Atheism it can't do either and it just comes down to the person.

    Christians good. All others bad.
