What percentage is real estate agent compensated in each sale?

    The standard is 6% and it is divided between 4 people, with each usually getting 1.5%

    5% commissions are pretty common these days, banks ony pay that in my state.

    Yes a 3-3 split is the norm but then the broker gets a cut. Also a listing agent pays for advertising & both agents have expenses. In most instances no taxes are paid by the broker so the agent is considered self-employed. That 3% dwindles quickly.

    That is negotiable.

    But it is typically 3% to the buyer's agent and 3% to the seller's agent.

    i have never seen a 6% listing fee, I have seen 7%.

    and in commercial, 10-15%
