Your 10 year old doesn't need to lose weight and shouldn't even be thinking about something like that. You may think that you're protecting her/helping her by asking on here and not suggesting it out loud, but it is most likely that she will have already picked up on some cues (maybe things you have said, the way you act, emotional cues) that tell her you think she is overweight.
10lbs is nothing to be worried about. She still have at least 6-8 more years of growth, so as long as her diet stays healthy (cut out sodas, junk food and stick to wholesome, healthy food) and gets adequate exercise (think playing with friends in the park, games at school etc) she will be absolutely fine and will have nothing to worry about. The only reason she will ever worry about her weight when she is older is if you make her think that being 10lbs overweight is wrong and should never happen. There is nothing wrong with being a little overweight at any age, as long as it doesn't affect your long or short-term health.
