Trying to lose weight?

I'm a 15 year old male, 5 foot 9, 202 pounds and a 37 inch waist. According to a calculator, my Basic Metabolic Rate is 2100 calories and I'm on a 1600-1700 calorie diet. I heard that it's dangerous to eat under your BMR. Is this true? I'm trying to get to 165 pounds.

I've always been told that it's fine to go below it as long as you do not cut your calories by any more than 800.

Online BRM calculators are extremely approximate. If you are fat and want to lose weight, go on a 500 calorie deficit.

No, it's not true, that's how you lose weight.
