Coke spill on carpet help?

I just spilled coke on the cream colored carpet and just scrubbed it down with a wet wash cloth thoroughly. The problem is that I don't know if it will stain when it dries. How can I get the stain out if it occurs without ruining the carpet. I live in an apartment and don't want any damage.

Pour club soda on the spill as soon as possible and cover the spot with clean, light-coloured towels or rags and stand on them. Continue to pour and absorb until all the colour from the stain has been blotted up and the towel is coming up clean.

Follow up with a good carpet stain remover. When you spot-clean carpet, never rub, as it will only spread the stain and will cause abrasion to the carpet fibers.

If the stain is old still try the club soda---it will lighten the stain. After using your carpet spotter, if the stain is still present, saturate with hydrogen peroxide or undiluted lemon juice. Wait 15 minutes to blot. Continue to apply making sure you aren't lightening the carpet.

For red wine stains use white wine and salt and follow with club soda and carpet spotter.

Next time, don't scrub, just blot repeatedly. Now just press a damp (not wet) wash cloth into the area and leave it overnight. The sugar will tend to migrate up into the cloth as the outside of the cloth dries. Tomorrow when the cloth feels quite dry, check the stain. It may be all gone. Let the carpet dry completely and fluff up the nap with an old hairbrush or coarse comb. If there's still signs of the stain (likely around the outside of the perimeter where you were scrubbing, try brushing a mixture of baking soda and salt into the carpet. The salt has a slight bleaching action; the baking soda is a good absorbent. Leave on the stain for 24 hours and vacuum.

hi, i'm gettting this from a surprising e book we've pronounced as "Spotless" in basic terms all approximately cleansing and stain removing. "(gentle drink / sugar stains on carpet) - For previous stains, stick to a pair glycerine to the stain with a cotton ball, and leave for a couple of minutes, then wipe it off with a sponge or textile. Sprinkle bi-carb soda over the stain and scrub it with a nylon brush. Then soak a clean white textile in vinegar, wring it out and place it over the bicarb soda. Stand on the textile so as that it absorbs the bicarb and the stain. you would be able to would desire to repeat this some situations". it could sound fiddly and a discomfort interior the bum technique, yet from my adventure it works. wish it helps.
