what gives congress the right to look into what Eric Holder does?

Attorney General of the United States has to answer to congress? he works for Obama not a bunch of congressmen

    The US Constitution gives congress oversight authority over federal agencies including the Justice Department.

    Eric Holder actually works for me as does Obama and the Congress. Right is granted in the US constitution. To avoid corruption exactly like this.

    Just because someone works for Obama does not mean they're above the law. Unless of course that person IS Obama.

    Expenditures must be approved by the House. Against the law to buy or sell guns without approval. Obama is not a part of that.

    Balance of powers.

    There are a number of Constitutional ways the difference branches keep each other in check.

    Congressional oversight committee is one of them.

    um because of montesques separation of power. and that if we gave full power to obama he would be a dictator not president. the constitution stressed checks and balances
