August 9/10 New York: The New York Yankees (baseball) aren't playing at home, but the New York Mets (baseball) play the marlins on the 9th and the braves on the 10th. The New York Giants (football) are playing an away game. And there is no pro or good junior hockey played in the summer time.

August 11/12 Buffalo: Buffalo doesn't have a major league baseball team, but the minor league team the Buffalo Bison's play home games on both the 11th and 12th. The football team the Buffalo Bills play a preseason game, but unfortunately its on the 9th.

August 13/18 La and west coast: the main cities are LA and Anaheim, San Diego, and San Francisco for tourists at least. For baseball the LA dodgers do not play at home, the Anaheim Angels play everyday from the 13th to 18th, the San Francisco giants play at home on the 13th,14th,15th. The San Diego Padres play at home on the 17th and 18th. There is a football game in Oakland (near San Francisco) on the 13th the Oakland raiders vs the Dallas cowboys. The San Diego Chargers play the Dallas cowboys in a preseason football game on the 18th.

August 19/21 Las Vegas: The minor league baseball team in Vegas are not playing at home during those dates (yoo want to be partying and gambling there anyways)

August 22/26 Orlando: no notable sporting events going on in that time period that I know of anyways.

If any of those dates and events work for you just google the team name and go to the team website and you will find information about times, dates, location, and ticket prices!

I'll help you with the Buffalo part: The AAA Buffalo Bisons baseball team plays both days. They play at 7:00 on the 11th and 6:00 on the 12th.

It's going to be baseball only those dates/cities. The LV Area 51s and NY Yankees are on the road those dates. The NY Mets host Miami the afternoon of the 9th, and then meet Atlanta the night of the 10th. Here's the NFL pre-season sked, but it doesn't seem to do you much good.
