Fluconazole as you know is just one tablet, but that does not mean to say that if you have sex the day after taking the pill that thrush was still not lingering there, thus whilst you may feel fine for a while now, the thrush could come back very easily within a week or so. Also when one person has thrush especially the woman, often the man has it too, but shows no symptoms, and therefore the woman takes her course of medications, gets well, and again in a few months time, she gets it again, and its down to the man. Most doctors will ask if you're in a regular relationship and treat the man as well, which of course ensures the thrush does not keep getting passed back and forth.
Fingers crossed you will be OK, fluconazole is a pretty powerful drug, and hopefully its done its job, but if you get thrush again anytime in the future, mention your man, then you will be guaranteed to be clear of this annoying yeast infection. I am a person who has suffered a lot with this problem most of my adult life, but here are some good tips that will help keep thrush away.
Always make sure your underpants have a cotton gusset on them.
Don't use perfumed soaps on your private area.
Don't wear your jeans too tight at the crutch.
Drink a glass of Cranberry Juice daily.
Just those 4 things can keep thrush at bay.
