It is barbaric to execute this young child of a 14 years? Would not this happen if was in the North?

His name was George Stinney. He was only 14 years old living in South Carolina when the murders happens with two young white girls of mostly kids in April of 1944. He was accused of killing them when he refused to have sex with them. However evidence suggest the reason George was innocent. Reason for this evidence for George confession was that the officers that interrogated him (with no witnesses of his family, only the officers and George himself) promise him free ice cream if he did confessed to the crimes and George unintentionally agrees. This was seen as an excuse to further up their ranks with no evidence that George did it.

The law in South Carolina also stated any over the age of 14 was an adult. Really? A 14 year old isn't allowed to drink, drive, gamble, and go to the military yet they are deemed to be executed because he was classified as an adult?

What happens if happens up North instead? He would be still alive today.

It is no longer constitutional anywhere in the US to execute someone for a crime committed when they were younger than 18. (Supreme Court, Roper v. Simmons, 2005.)

In the modern era (since 1973,) 22 people were executed for crimes committed while as young as 16. These executions occurred in Texas (13), Virginia (3), Oklahoma (2), South Carolina, Florida,

    Georgia and Missouri (1each)

    More on Stinney:

"In 1944, a 14-year-old boy named George Stinney Jr. was executed in Clarendon County, South Carolina. Stinney was one of the youngest persons to be executed in the United States in the 20th century, and his electrocution shocked many people around the country. In addition to the controversy surrounding the execution of a juvenile, Stinney's case was also disturbing because of the poor representation he had received."

I do not believe anyone under 16 can be given capital punishment in the US. The youngest person was executed in the US was before it became the US at a place called Plymouth MA. He was 9 years old and was hung by the good Puritans.

it does not be pedophilia, yet that isn't the ingredient. Downloading baby porn is illegitimate no count what age group is downloading it. it is illegitimate for baby porn to exist and be considered, era. If it have been 8-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous toddlers in touch, might this is okay for 9-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-olds to reveal screen it? No, it does not. I think of the criminal penalty for possession of baby pornography may be much less intense for a minor below the age of sixteen. it may be resolved contained in the juvenile courts.

    Every state has different laws.

I'm guessing there's more to this story anyway.
