Why do Jehovah's Witnesses Obey their Governing Body, instead of God as "Ruler".... aren't they just "men"?

They say they don't obey men as ruler, but only God...but their Governing Body can tell them to hate others, ignore all other literature, tell "theocratic warfare" lies, protect pedophiles, and tell their elders to judge their flock members, all of these things not in the Bible, and the members do it without question...Why do Jehovah's Witnesses obey men as ruler, instead of God?

No QA Queen...there are many things that emanate from the Bible that all religions teach, that are also quoted as from God, but the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses twists dates to support their false 1914 date. They directed their publishers to claim that certain scholars backed up their 607 BCE date for the distraction of Jerusalem, when in fact, those scholars refuted the Watchtower statements, and quotes as pure lies.

There are so many instances of false stories and outright lies, that it is becoming difficult to see the trees for the forrest.

With only 7.6 million members, the GB is selling off more and more of their New York properties, while they are being dissected in the literary field as mis-representers of scholarly claims. It is also interesting to note, there are 607 scholars that refute 607 BCE, and have made it very clear that the date of 586-7 is the only true date of the destruction of Jerusalem.

But, you will believe these men, even though they tell outrig

Update 2:

outright lies to support a false 1914.

Is this your interpretation of obeying God?

You all obey Men as ruler.

Update 3:

Love Doctor, when you lose children, and family to false doctrines, you will look silly also.

Well I would say that when they follow a doctrine of demons they will find to their cost what sort of leadership they followed.

For God has made it plain...What you reap ( unbelief, distrust, lies, false beliefs, idolatry,,self; and self-interests) so shall you sow the consequences of the same.

The Governing Body of the JW's are just men; plain and simple...and they follow invisible spirits who "guide" other words the governing body of the JW's follow spirit guides...for Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God the Father, in the heavenly realm, and He directs all the other children of God throughout the world, and intercedes for them..He doesn't live just in the ceiling of JW headquarters waiting to be summoned, for when you dabble in the occult, you never know what you'll end up with and I can almost guarantee that if the members of this organisation ever saw the real face of the things they worship, they'd be terrified, for surely they know the warning that God has given about those who deal in this kind of acktivity, yet they continue to do so because the governing body, has sanctioned all of these 'so-called godly things'..

All I will say further to this is, may God help those genuine ones who really know and follow the truth, (and there'd be a small percentage in this man-made; man-sanctioned organisation) that do for the rest Judgment Day is getting closer everyday...

Where in the bible text do we see any support for the idea that people must be baptized

into a particular organization and submit to the interpretation's of such an organization ?

Only one man Phillip is mentioned in the text (Acts 8 :34-38).

And after this single encounter, the eunuch never saw him again .

Did Phillip use scripture alone to talk to the eunuch,

or did he have to utilize additional literature ?

If scripture alone was sufficient for Phillip and the eunuch,

is not scripture alone sufficient for us as well ?

2 Timothy 3 : 15 "And from infancy you have known the Holy writings, which are able to

make you wise for salvation threw the faith in connection with Christ Jesus."

According to this were the scriptures alone were sufficient to provide Timothy

with what he needed to know in order to be saved ?

If the scriptures alone were sufficient for Timothy,

then why aren't the scriptures alone sufficient for our salvation as well ?

Seems you know a lot about them. maybe you were once with them and became an apostate. It's so clear how much you hate them and wanted to be destroyed. We'll what you are doing is also something much worse. The good thing is that, they are growing in number. While many are losing their members. And when it comes to their qualities, I have nothing to say for they are the only religion following closely with what the Bible says. We may say negative things or even destroy ones reputation but the fruits of that person will reflect who he is.

That is why the Watchtower Society changed their baptismal pattern away from the biblical pattern by baptizing members into THEIR "spirit directed" organization. It binds the person to the organization rather than God.

This makes those who submit to the group look to the organization for guidance rather than God.

It is a crafty way to replace submission and reliance on God alone and displace God as ruler for themselves as "God chosen" leaders that should be obeyed and followed with blind faith.

As for the 1914 date remember that came from funky calculations made up by the Pyramidology that Russel followed. He was an occultist at heart and believed in gnostic esoteric beliefs that knowledge was "hidden" and only special people were deemed to receive it. Part of that belief system is to believe symbols hold hidden truths and Russel believed the Great Pyramid of Giza held a hidden truth about the return of Jesus to the earth. Pretty sick stuff and today's followers refuse to do ANY research into THEIR OWN HISTORICAL LITERATURE to find out if any of this stuff is true.

In the first century, a small group, “the apostles and elders in Jerusalem,” served as a governing body to make important decisions on behalf of the entire anointed Christian congregation. (Acts 15:2) When they made a unanimous decision, it was a result of discussing what the Scriptures say and yielding to the influence of God’s spirit. (Acts 15:25) That pattern is followed today.

Information comes down from God to Jesus to the anointed ones that have been selected to Feed God's people under Jesus direction. (Matthew 24:45-51)

    Jehovah's Witnesses obey God's Word.

First century Christians obeyed a governing body of older men in Jerusalem (See Acts chapter 15). God's people listened to the man Moses, Isaiah, the Apostle Paul and other faithful human imperfect men God used to direct His people.

Nearly 8 million earthwide in over 100,000 congregations are happily obeying God and His word under the guidance and direction of these faithful men, who direct us scripturally in matters.

But notice the words of Acts 5:38,39:

"so under the present circumstances, i say to you, do not meddle with these men, but let them alone. For if this scheme or this work is from men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. otherwise, you may even be found fighters against God himself."

are u kidding, these people WORSHIP their governing body and every thing they write. Their idol is the watchtower bible & tract society, their master is the governing body- ((men)) the wizards behind the curtain. false prophets, inspired by a fallen angel himself. The men who mandate gag orders on those molested and raped within that demonic organization.

only Jesus can help them see. Its a heart condition. No one can take from The hand of God.ever.

eyes will open and sheep of Jesus will hear His voice.

Could it be that in refusing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as God, they then

cannot 'see' or understand God at all, and then confuse everything and

    end up as humanists?

And don't Catholics do the same thing with the pope? Don't they see the

pope as God Himself, and thus stop thinking?

I wonder if this is a flaw in some people who would rather blindly follow

people than have to really think things through.

I know someone like this who would rely on me to do what they COULD do

themselves. Then if it doesn't work, well, it's never their fault, but mine.

So maybe these are people who are afraid to be wrong also, and in

doing that, they want someone ELSE to be wrong. They then look

to people, rather than to God.

God always shows us that yes, we ARE wrong. But with JW's,

they don't ever have to then be wrong.

We Obey God as Ruler rather than men jsut as it says in the scriptures. The governing Body study the Bible very closely (which is Gods word to us) and give us instruction based on what they have discovered. none of what they instruct is in conflict or misquoted from the Bible at any time.

Don't you find it convenient that God stopped directly speaking to prophets almost 2000 years ago?

You realize that your statements are just as ridiculous as theirs, if not more so? It's like two children arguing over ... whatever pre-adolescent kids argue over.
