How would i go about doing paranormal investigations and the cops would not be able to make me leave?

You can become a licensed paranormal investigator, and you may even qualify for grant money. There will be cases where even a licensed paranormal investigator will find an area off limits, but having a license to investigate will set you apart form curiosity seekers. You may gain access to areas the general public can't enter.

How to do it is simple: Call yourself a paranormal investigator (that really is the only criteria), and go out investigating. There's no required training course or exam to write, and don't let anyone sell you any such thing.
As for the cops, that's a different story.
Unless you're investigating your own property, you'll need permission from the property owner (every property is owned by someone) to conduct your studies. It's easy enough to find out who owns a particular property through municipal records, so that's who to ask. If you don't have the property owner's consent to be there, you can be arrested for breaking in, trespassing, and other fun stuff.
Then there's the issue of public safety, which is also a cop's domain. If you're wandering around in a condemned building, the cops can and will tell you to get out of there. That's because it's dangerous to be in condemned buildings, and you're not allowed to endanger yourself like that.
Whenever you're conducting an investigation, living or ghostly, you have to follow the law when you do it. There are no credentials that you could show to the police that would give you immunity.

Don't. The cops are there to do a serious investigation. having you muck around there, potentially damaging the evidence, would not do anyone any good.
Why not just do like some psychics and hold your hands over a newspaper account of whatever you want to investigate. I guarantee the results will be just as valid as if you went to the crime scene, and your noodling around that way would not hinder serious police work.

Please don't. Leave the ghosts alone. Imagine being at a Starbucks. If you don't like Starbucks frankly I don't care but you're at a Starbucks. You're about to get your delicious coffee thing and out of nowhere some freak with some kind of weird machine thing starts screaming at you to start talking to them and showing them signs. Wouldn't you be freaked out and bothered? Same thing with ghosts. Don't mess with them and they won't mess with you, unless they're desperate to leave this watery dog turd of a planet or are Poltergeists in which case they don't give 2 sh*ts.
