Christians, what are some evidence that jesus resurrected?

dont tell that he did miracles bc back then many prophets did "miracles" too

other prophets also have eye witness

Update 2:

If this man called Jesus performed miracles and raised the dead, healed the sick, etc. Then why on earth didn't any one document any of it at that moment??? The Bible is definitely not evidence.

Depends what you're willing to accept as evidence. You could consider:

    - Roman history regarding Jesus' death

    - The lack of his body in his tombstone

    - The decision of countless people to continue to proclaim of Jesus' resurrection until they were killed for it (seems suspicious to die for something you know is a lie)

    - ^Along similar lines, the conversion of James after he supposedly met Jesus after resurrection and his decision to also die for his beliefs (recorded also in Josephus’ Antiquities of the Jews XX, ix, 1)

    - The fact that the story has women (rather than men) find Jesus' empty tomb (which proves significant if you consider the status and credibility given to women at the time)

    - The layout of his clothing (as if his body had simply vanished and left them untouched)

    - Something like five hundred testimonies of eye witnesses after Jesus' supposed resurrection

    - The particular position of the large stone in front of his tombstone (rolled far away uphill rather than, logically, a little downhill)

    - Letters between Pliney to Trajan X, 96

First answer this... What evidence would you accept??

Given that it happened a couple thousand ago, there really isnt much besides record and word of mouth/witness.

We have both. The problem isnt the evidence, its that there is no evidence you would really accept in the first place.

edit: Thats why I asked what evidence you would accept. You cant just say "oh its not good enough" and then not say what would be.

I am having the same problem, except this one going back to the time of the apostles. How do you tell 1st century people that man has landed on the moon?

Or may be that would be too incredible for them. How do you tell 1st century people that a person ( a scientist) can resurrect a dead dog--by cloning?

When Jesus died His body was sealed in a tomb which was guarded by soldiers the body could not be stolen. But the tomb was still empty.

On Friday night the disciples are scared, cowardly and even denying knowing Jesus. On Sunday morning they are boldly proclaiming that He has risen. What else could cause that kind of change in them?

Eye witness accounts given in the gospels.

Yes, I know. The Bible can't be proof of itself.

    That's not what I said.

What I said was that people witnessed the resurrection, wrote about it, and those writings were put together into a single book centuries later. The writers themselves merely wrote what they saw, and the self-witness fallacy is wrongly used here. You actually can't make the "self-witness" argument unless you're convinced the Bible is the word of God and not what history says it is--a man made collection of man-made books.

I've never actually seen an atheist argument that isn't self-defeating.

All the evidence you need if you are spiritually aware. If you are spiritually blind nothing anyone can say will help you. The tomb was empty. Read the last few chapters in each of the gospels and you'll get the facts. He ascended back to his home in heaven in Acts 1.

Probably the strongest evidence is the fact that many thousands of people who believed in His resurrection were killed for their belief in Him. Ask yourself how many people you know who would be willing to die to cover up a lie. At least 500 of His disciples claimed to have seen Him after His resurrection. Most of them were put to death because they believed in Him.
