How is CO2 (carbon dioxide) formed?

How is the gas CO2 formed? Without breathing it out as a waste... Is there any other way that it is formed?

There are lots of ways it can form. One common one you can do at home is mixing baking soda with vinegar First the two react to form carbonic acid, which immediately breaks down into water and carbon dioxide.

Another common way CO2 can be formed is by combining acid with calcium carbonate (limestone, seashell, or "scale" deposits from hard water). Burning fuels containing carbon also produces carbon dioxide and water.
