    1) Find three solutions for y = -2x

    if

    x = 1, -1, 3 then

    y = -2, +2, -6 respectively.

    2) find the slope of the line through (3, -6) and (5, 8)

    Note: (y-y1) = m(x-x1) :let a point A(x,y) = (3,-6) and point B( x1,y1) = 5,8 then

    (-6-8) = m(3 -5)

    -14 = m(-2)

    m = 7

    ans: B (=7)

    I assumed you meant gradient of the line. Answer is B
