Can you usually tolerate re-casting in sequels to movies?

Here are some examples I can think of:

In Batman Begins (2005), Katie Holmes played Rachel Dawes and Maggie Gyllenhaal took the role in The Dark Knight (2008).

Robert John Burke taking the role of RoboCop in RoboCop 3 (1993) even though Peter Weller played the cyborg crime-fighter in the first two movies.

Val Kilmer played Batman in Batman Forever (1995), then George Clooney took the role in Batman & Robin (1997).

I can not tolerate this. It becomes really annoying when you are used to a character and then they change it. The worst one of the one above is Robocop

I'd rather them not do that but sometimes they have to because the actor isn't available for the new movies or wants to much money
