Do SSD Hard Dives help open and close windows and programs faster?

i just bought a mac and i notice that sometimes when i type it reacts a little slow also when i close windows and when i open them i notice its not performing at an amazing level (how macs should) I'm wondering if i was to get an ssd drive the current typing problem that I'm having would go away.

    An ssd drive would make no difference. It's about access speed and that has to do with logic board and ram. How many other apps or items may be open.

    What mac, iMac, MBP, MPA or MB? I assume the mac is using Lion, 10.7 as the OS, if not what os?
