Aren't the workers suppose to vote for a union in.?
Some at my company have wanted a union now it seems the company isn't going to fight it and are allowing it. My question is aren't the workers suppose to be allowed to vote to have the final say if there is going to be a union or not.
Also this is a warehouse and in Illinois

In some jurisdictions a vote is required. In many the vote is waived if more than a majority of the employees affected have signed union cards, because that act is considered equivalent.
Unions are generally better for the workers than not. The nurses in my hospital would never be paid fairly without theirs.
