I am an Emory Alum. Of the 3 schools you chose, Emory will be the most difficult to gain admittance into...for some reasons. GT is also tough...for other reasons.
It depends on what you are interested in. Emory is liberal arts, GT is a technical school. Emory is consistently a top 20 US News Ranked school. I don't care or trust US News...but unfortunately when it comes to Higher Ed it becomes 'political'. Thus, Top 20 means you must be 20 times more competitive than a school above that. E.g. UGA is a big party school. Nothing special.
So...to your stats. Based solely on numbers and no human element, I'd say Emory would be a reach school for you, GT may be more average for you, and UGA a solid choice (safety I'd say).
If the new SAT is out of 2400? With this in mind, realize that Emory has had ridiculous record apps last year, and I think the average score of accepted kids was 2100. ACT was ~30-31.
Nowadays it very much a filter mob mentality...there are SO MANY applicants who are outstanding kids, that you must simply have the numbers to make it past any cuts they do in the beginning....many times they won't even read your "heart throb/tear jerking app" if you don't have the #'s.
AP--Honors? Great. Who cares. Everybody has done them who applies to Emory. You need to differentiate yourself in the quality dept.
Again, it would help if you try to focus your talents or interests to the School's interests. Why should they accept you? Emory is a pre-med/pre-business/pre-law/pre-dent kind of place. And of course liberal arts. GT is a engineering place...as well as biomedical, mathematics, physics, etc. UGA has all kinds of stuff.
Your extracurrics are OK. It would be nice if you could focus on an activity you love and excel at, and use this as your application kicker. Again, the crap load of applicants all have the 100 hours of service, trips to other countries, etc. etc.
But, Emory is a reach for you, in the best case. Put it with your reach schools, and don't put too many chips on it.
