Can they perform surgery to help ease the tremors of benign essential tremors?
If the drug they give you has bad side effects.

Yes, deep brain stimulation. They implant electrodes into your brain, and those are connected to a device that puts some electricity through them. I've anesthetized people for them, and it's amazing how well they work.
Your tremor has to be pretty bad to let someone drill thorough your skull and put wires into your brain, though.
Any neurosurgeon should be able to tell you about it. If they don't do the procedure, they can refer you to someone who can.
