Is Monday a bank holiday in Republic of Ireland? Was the May bank holiday moved?

Also... is it a holiday in the USA? Also- is this bank holiday supposed to be in May, but was moved to June to coincide with Jubilee celebrations?

Yes there is a bank holiday here in Ireland on Monday, the June Bank Holiday as we call it! :)

Edit: I'm pretty sure there was a bank holiday in May aswell! And the bankk holiday has nothing to do with the jubilee, this is Ireland, we don't celebrate the Queen here!

We already had a May bank holiday - the first Monday in May. Now we're having the June bank holiday - as always, on the first Monday in June - nothing to do with the Jubilee. Don't know about USA - you could 'Google' that.

In Ireland there is a bank holiday in May and a bank holiday in June.

American bank holidays have nothing to do with us, neither has the Jubilee

we have 7 bank holiday mondays in Ireland and the may and june bank holidays are 2 of them! The jubilee has nothing to do with Irelands holidays it's just coincidentally falling at the same time! Enjoy whatever holiday your celebrating!

Yes this Monday is a bank holiday. There was a bank holiday at the beginning of May already for May Day

The USA had last weekend as a bank holiday weekend due to it being Memorial Weekend.

Ireland has always had May & June bank hols, why would Irish people celebrate the Queen of England's Jubilee??

Don't be stupid! Why would we celebrate the jubilee in Ireland. The May bank holiday is in May not June. What would we know or care about holidays in the U.S.?

There was a bank holiday in may and there is one in June in Ireland, just like there always has been.

The Queen has nothing to do with Ireland so we dont celebrate it, why would we?

might Day is a huge pageant in some factors of the rustic. we've the morris dancers dancing at first easy on the sea front, welcoming interior the might Day. we've the parade with Jack of the golf green and a extensive experience on the city. i might hate to confirm it go. In Rochester they have it as Sweeps Day - back, a vast experience. Why could those die out by way of government interfearance? This lot could no longer organise a piss up in a brewery!!
