Determine the equation of the image of the hyperbola x^2/9 - (y+2)^2/16 = 1 after a horizontal stretch about the line x=0 by a factor of 3.
I tried this question last night and could not figure it out. I'm not sure what to do with these kinds of questions. Could someone please explain how to do this or link me to a website that can?

x = 0 does not change, and the new x is triple the old x so
x^2/9 - (y+2)^2/16 = 1 becomes (x/3)^2/9 - (y+2)^2/16 = 1 which is (x^2)/81 - ((y+2)^2)/16 = 1
