Can we take our marriage license out of state to marry?
My fiance and I are picking up our marriage license today. We live in Kansas. My dads birthday is next week and we are going back to my hometown in Oklahoma to celebrate. While we are there, can my grandmother (who is an ordained minister) marry us even though our marriage license is from Kansas? Or do we have to have a Kansas official officiate?

The marriage license is only valid in the state where it has been obtained. You would have to obtain the marriage license from Oklahoma since you will be getting married there and not in Kansas.

Marriages are recorded in the county clerks office. So the marriage license must be from the county in which you get married.

No. You need a license in the state you intend to marry in.
