Age does NOT have any affect on the amount of your required taxes that you might have to have withheld from your GROSS wages earnings for the tax year at all ever.

    1 hour at 8.00

W-4 Employee withholding certificate filled out as Single and -0- ZERO allowances 1 hour for 1 week pay period Allegheny county Maryland for this purpose.

    Gross pay $7.25

    Federal income tax $0.00

    Social Security $0.30

    Medicare $0.11

    Maryland $0.00

    County tax $0.00

    Net pay (take home) $6.84

not familiar with Md employee taxes but it is entirely possible it has a tax of 1%, maybe more, maybe less

but FICA which is 5.65% will be withheld from your pay

at 16 if you do not anticipate earning $5800 you can file your W-4 with your employer as exempt and no income taxes will be withheld

It depends on what you put on your W-4. It has nothing to do with your age.
