Is there an American made 1911 .45 ACP that has a 14+1 magazine capacity?

13 might do, but i'd prefer 14

Yes, both STI and Infinity at a minimum have 2011 frame platforms for double stack magazines in .45 ACP. I'm pretty sure with the right base pads you can get to 14+1. I'm pretty sure with standard basepads on my magazines for my Infinity they will get to 14 or more.

Also as mentioned I believe ParaOrdinance was purchased by a US company and they certainly make a double stack 1911 in .45 that can get there.

Finally, I believe Caspian also makes a 2011 frame for .45 ACP to build up to a gun that will go 14+1, and may actually build it out complete as well, but I know they have the frame, and LesBaer is advertising that is the frame they are using for their double stack .45.

Look at a FNX 45. Its not a 1911, but its a fine gun, holds 14+1. The Tactical model holds 15+1.

The FNH USA FNX-45 is even a better choice http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/family....

Para Usa has a great select of double stack 1911's http://www.para-usa.com/

Strayer-Voigt Infinity series of pistols are custom made to order, made to your specs, double stack, polymer framed (they share the patent with STI) 1911s that can have 14 rounds of .45ACP as standard.

or you can buy an Arsenal 2011-A1 "second century" double wide-double barrel pistol.
