According to wikipedia, both 127 and 220 were used up until the sixties. In the seventies, they gradually started switching everything over to 220V. It would also seem that in the Netherlands, this process is still ongoing in some places.Source(s): http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lichtnet
