Help!When people say a week off,is it 5 days or 7 days?

Question

I've initiated meeting this guy this week. He drove back from his base last Friday. Then on the Sunday I asked if he was driving back again and he said no I have a week off. Does this mean Sunday to Sunday,or what?! I'm only asking cause id like to see him before he returns. He usually has weekends off. I'm hoping he goes back on Sunday.
