Good ideas for a new edgier haircut?

Question

I'm going to be honest and say that I'm getting extremely bored with the hairstyle I have. It's been exactly the same for years give or take a few layers and colors. I want something that makes me feel confident and empowered. I just can't get that feeling with a plain hairstyle.

I just really need something edgier and makes a noticeable difference. (keep in mind what would look good with my facial features & I'll be getting contacts soon.) Thank you.

Well I hope you are ready for this because I have a lot, Now I am Partial to the Bob style but am not limited to that, I would suggest that perhaps you take a look at some of these Yahoo Groups that have people on them with Photos and advice on various Styles,

Get some lighter bright red highlights.  Have your hair cup into choppy layers so it looks naturally windblown.

attempt now to not do the finished scene look each body is doing it and its getting demanding yet yea get some thicker area bangs and uneven layers yet like you stated you want "edgy" your fairly now unlikely to be able of flee with the hair decrease yo want without straighting it
