How can ultranationalism lead to crimes against humanity?

Anytime that you have an extreme position, and anything with an "ultra" in it is something extreme, you have a better chance of something horrible happening.

Ultra-nationalism is when the people of a country believe that theirs is not only a good country, or the best country (which is nationalism), but that everyone else is inferior, and that their nation should be able to rule over others.

When people have such attitudes, it shouldn't surprise us that they would not care what bad things they do to other people.
