How to identify a salt in a solution?

In class we have been given a water solution that has 1 of 25 possible salts dissolved in it, we have to find which salt is in our solution. Any ideas on how to find out which salt it is?

Boil the water, and after the water boils, you will see a salt, after that observe the salt and make your choice, though be careful as salts can be poisonous.
