<Abolish the Internal Revenue Service and repeal the 16th Amendment, which legalized the federal income tax.?
Why not? It would be much more efficient to have the fair tax enacted and put more money in everyone's pockets. It would also put some restraint on the ability of government to indulge in influence peddling by giving tax breaks away to contributors.
<Require judges to instruct jurors that in addition to judging cases, they may pass on the law at issue. Commonly known as “jury nullification,”>
If a law is no longer relevant or is being unfairly enforced then the jury should have the ability to determine set it aside. Why do you have a problem with this?
<Oppose federal anti-bullying legislation because, after all, “students have the right and responsibility to stand up for themselves.”>
Zero tolerance laws are always abused. You don't do your children any good by making their lives too easy. It's a shame that liberals believe that children have to be monitored every second of the day. All this does is suck the joy out of childhood.
<Pass a “stand your ground” law, like the one that many believe led to the death of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla. By a large margin, most prosecutors and police oppose such laws, which make prosecuting many killings difficult.>
It's this kind of thinking that makes the law abiding citizens prisoners in their homes afraid of the criminal element in society. What is the next law you will want passed? Make it illegal to resist is someone breaks into your home? Don't laugh this is a law in England.
<Allow parents to refuse to have their children immunized.>
You do realize that the biggest supporters of this are liberals don't you? Not to mention the fact that supporting this brings its own penalty.
>Reject the teaching of multiculturalism.>
Because these "teachings" as they are practiced denigrate our own culture.
<Only teach evolution as a theory, along with creationism.>
You are confusing political affiliation and religious affiliation. Personally I would leave this to parents, if you don't want your kid taught evolution put them in a religious charter school.
<Repeal compulsory school attendance laws>
Never heard of this one. As a matter of fact most conservative parents want their kids in school.
Again you make the false assumption that it's political ideology when religion is usually the motivation for this. Sloppy thinking.
<Impose “more severe consequences” for convicted juvenile offenders.>
Yes I very much wish that children were given harsher consequences maybe then they would realize that victimizing others is a bad thing. Liberal solutions to this problem have never worked.
<Eliminate the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which oversees job safety.>
Never heard of any serious support for this. I think this is the product of your own paranoid fantasies.
<Repeal smoking bans because, as the platform statement asserts, “We believe this to be an issue of liberty.” Air quality in all businesses should be left up to owners’ “freedom to choose.>
Smoking bans are unconstitutional. They force property owner to forbid a legal activity in there establishment. At most government should have given incentives to forbid smoking.
<Repeal all hate crime laws.>
Because they are basically enforcing thought crimes. Not to mention the fact that they are never fairly enforced.
<Build a fence along the entire U.S. border with Mexico.>
Something needs to be done to stop the invasion of illegals and criminals coming at us through our southern boarder. Liberals have yet to make a single viable suggestion for solving this problem.
<Eliminate no-fault divorce laws and require “good cause” to get a divorce.>
Another one I never heard of Republicans clamoring for.
<End minimum wage laws.>
Wrong yet again. We oppose arbitrarily raising it because it never helps those at the bottom of the scale.
<Oppose abortion and reject the Supreme Court’s decision authorizing it>
Some support this but not enough to actually get it passed.
<Encourage adoption and aid to unwed mothers — but only if every dollar of support comes from the private sector>
The foster system has been shown to be flawed and causes many more problems than existed with private orphanages. No one would stop you from contributing to these organizations.
