Great PC shooters no later than 2010? Laptop use.?

PC shooters which don't demand a gaming rig to play. I have a shitty dual core 2.3 Ghz laptop.

Games like CoD MW2/3, medal of honor series, operation flashpoint and the like are very well accepted.

Games off the list:

Any battlefield game

Any online game

Cod Black Ops or later (though MW3 is an exclusion for demanding less)

When I said I didn't want an online game, I mean a game that is best played online. Besides, I own both CS games so I don't need them as suggestions.

Update 2:

ER: You are a class of your own. I specifically said NO ONLINE GAMES, yet you start your reply with suggesting online shooters. Are you blind? I cannot play online games as my network is very unreliable and I want games great to play when going on vacation and therefore not having an internet connection.

    Alright these are my suggestions:

    Online Shooters:

    1) Tribes Ascend.

It's free and it's a really fun shooter, just out of beta. it's an incredibly high quality game considering it is free, but the market for F2P games on PC is increasing and there are more and more good things showing up.

    2) Quake Live.

Also free. It is from 2009, based off of Quake 3 Arena. It's a highly competitive skill driven shooter that is pretty fun if I do say so myself. It runs through a browser plug in, so there is no download, but it can still be full screen.!home

    3) Blacklight Retribution

Yet another free shooter. It's very new just like Tribes having only come out just this year. I played the open beta and I thought it was pretty awesome, just not for me. It has a lot of CoD like elements to it. Overall, it's not too bad.

    4) WAR INC

Free. I haven't played this one but I've seen gameplay, it's similar to a Battlefield type game rather than CoD. Seems decent.

As far as you not wanting a game best played online I don't know what to tell you. Most FPS games are online based, and the SP based ones are pretty demanding especially if they are from 2010 and newer. You could probably run Call of Duty 4 just fine. Maybe Fallout 3 and New Vegas too? Not too sure what you could get away with but I did my best making suggestions!
