My parents aren't bad people but they have a thing against bis and lesbians In my dad's opinion their mentally ill people who need help so what would they think of me if they knew about me being les or bi Plus their asian (p.s. although this sounds racist most asians have the same problem) so our culture...

First off, yeah. There are, unfortunately, a lot of otherwise good people in this world who are prejudiced against LGBT people. My extended family has some. I'm sorry your parents are that way. It sucks.

Ultimately, telling them comes down to your choice. Word does get around, so you can't just be out the everyone you know except them. If you go to college away from home (or will do so), it's generally easy to be out at college and not at home. Get an internship or do coursework out of town over the summers, and there's really only winter break you're at home and have to be closeted.

Telling them generally has to happen eventually, though. And yeah, it's rough. However, people also have this nifty thing where they make allowances for their own family they wouldn't otherwise make. Not right away, mind you, but they often do come around.

I say lay low, until you can live without them, can move out, don't need to depend on them for if you tell them and they kick you out you will be okay. I am also sure you could tell your cousins or friends,relatives (not aunts or uncles) for they are around your age and grew up in a time where homosexuals are more accepted so they might not make a big deal about it if you come out to them,though it may also depend on how they were raised.The sad thing about doing this with not telling your parents until you are able to move out though would be that you are going to hear your parents or at least your mother always telling you "one day when you have a boyfriend..." thing which is irritating and heartbreaking for you know that it isn't true, that you are going to break your mom's heart one day when you tell her the truth. Then again though your parents may be surprisingly okay with this all when it comes to their kids,who knows.

If your parents will disown you for who you are, well then I hate to say it, but they are cowardly people and need to overcome a lot in their lives and it is not your fault. Perhap it is why you are there (karma); to help them recognize what is wrong about themsevles. African American culture is the same way too. Just be who you are, you can't hide it forever (it will hurt more the more you hide it) and your parents are obviously undereducated about this topic, so help them to understand.
