Why Are People Racist?

BQ- How do you feel about racism?

Not all people are racist by the way. The ones that are, are that way because they assume that all the people from that race is this way which about 99.99 % of the time is bad. The thing is we are like snow flakes, no that doesn't mean we are all white that means that all of us are one thing, snow flakes, but each one is different to another. I feel that racism is basically dumb and is another word for arrogance. It assume everything of which is nearly nothing to the truth. I wouldn't even mind marrying outside my race, we are all humans here. And if you think about it, it is possible that adam and eve were actually black.

I believe people truly fear anybody/things/situations which are unfamiliar to them; similar to how people don't like change. And sadly, instead of seeing a particular race in the context of a whole, to include the good and bad side of their humanity, people choose to only see the negative; so a particular race then easily becomes stereotyped.

Now, if they ( racist ) were to sit back and look at their own race and evaluated not the only
good but the negative too; then they would realize every ethnicity has issues.

Personally, I think there is white people and then there's white trash. It's the same difference with all other nationalities, there is good and there is bad.

Just silly thoughts that have been passed down and only the most stubborn of people actually act upon them. It sometimes has to do with the Bible. Like 200 years ago, people used to think white people were pure because of their skin colour and vice versa with darker skinned people. Also, when the Americans came to collect slaves they went to Africa and Africa had not really become 'modern' and so they saw them to have less intelligence leading to the thought that all black people were dim witted. People also are racist against religion because they believe that their belief is right and no one else's is. So they retaliate because they probably have nothing better to do.

BQ - I feel against it completely. Nobody has any right to judge someone they don't know because of appearance and beliefs.

Because its survival of the fittest. Natural instincts make you subconsciously despise humans of a different sub-species (race). But racists are the ones that give into these natural pressures.

i think they are naive and should be properly educated, people do not choose the colour of their skin, people need to stop wasting time on such pointless nonsense and deal with the real world issues, like world hunger, AIDS, global warming....
