What uncommon names do you like?

Names that most people wouldn't really think of? Would you ever use them? I really like Denise for a girl (you don't hear that much) also Micah for a boy.

BQ: What do you think of Corinne for a girl?

These are names that I really like and would use.

Kepi..................(KEH pee) Old Egyptian; means Tempest

    Marigny............(MAIR eh nee) French

    Dinah................Hard core old-fashion

Martha..............Pronounced German (MAR tuh) or English (MAR thuh); Can't decide

    Seren...............(SAIR en) Welsh, means Star.

    Zooey...............(ZOO ee) not (ZOH ee)

Mughain...........(MOO en) Irish; Sounds similar to Moon.

    Isabeau............(IZ uh bo)

Chryseis...........(KRIS ee iss) Greek, means Golden

Berenice...........(bair uh NEE kee) Old English....or (bair uh NEES)

Airlea................(air LEE uh) Greek; means Ethereal.

    Aneiren.............(uh NYE ren) Welsh

    Alcide................(al SEED) French

Rene.................Dislike Renee for a girl; Rene sounds fresh and masculine.

    Job....................(JOBE) So cool!

    Jerome

Hollis.................Love it! A family name. (His brothers are Titus, Foster, Sewel, Haskal, Maston...sister is Ruth, my grandmother.)

Edgar................My Favorite Ed name, and I like them all....

    Sheldon and Shelby (Ruth's son!)

    Clovis................Major historical figure-NOT feminine!

Denise - I'm warming up to this name, so ?

Micah - Love this very male name. Using it on a girl should be criminal.

I like both Corinne (cor IN) and Corine (cor EEN), and Corina (cor EE na) but would be concerned about the mix-up. My strong preference is for Corinne.

    This was a fun process : )

My favorite- is "Mopsa." :) It MIGHT be a "made up" Name. -Because the ONLY Place I've ever seen it, is as a Character in one of Shakespeare's Plays !! She was a clever little "Shepherdess"-tending Her Sheep- in the hills... I just thought it was such a sweet Name... :)
