What Culture am I part of?

I'm having troubles figuring this out and it is for a homework assignment. My class taught me that culture encompasses language, beliefs, values, norms and behaviors. It also says that religion, ethnicity, and race do not define your culture. So if i'm an English speaking american what do I call my culture? Is it just american culture? and then how do I describe it even tho there is so much diversity in america. I'm just confused and cant narrow it down to what culture i'm in and how to describe that culture
