What's your favorite interrogation scene from a film or a TV show?

Note: If you're Donny, include your favorite interrogation scene from The Shield.

For some reason I feel like a lot of people are going to say the Joker's interrogation from The Dark Knight. That is a great scene, but if that's your pick, include a second choice aswell.

BQ: I finally got around to seeing The Avengers, and I thought it was amazing. What were your thoughts on it, and where do you think it'll rank amongst your favorite films of all-time?

BQ2: Can any of you give me some info on Much Ado About Nothing? Joss Whedon's of course.

BQ3: Thoughts on Louis C.K.'s Live at the Beacon Theater?

BQ4: How has this section been?

SHIELD: season 1 I think. Dutch catches the serial killer (that they found doing something in the alley lol). "If you're so special, how come a lowly civil servant like me just caught you?" great line

I'd give you the youtube link but there are season 7 spoilers right on the page. also, one of the greatest quotes in TV history. in the pilot I think.. "Good cop, bad cop left for the day. I'm a different kind of cop"

also, anytime Vic unplugs the camera and locks the door.

BQ- Yeah I really liked it. Probably an 8.5-9/10. Really funny and cool. I put it in my top 100 spot at #100 just for the hell of it. Once I see it again it will either stay there, go down, or go up.

BQ2- um it's based on a Shakespeare play, was filmed in 12 days in Joss Whedon's house (i think), and Nathan Fillion stars in it

BQ3- hilarious. I saw they were airing it on FX. not the same censored

    BQ4- worse than ever

    ’How many fingers, Winston?’

’Four! Stop it, stop it! How can you go on? Four! Four!’

    ’How many fingers, Winston?’

    ’Five! Five! Five!’

’No, Winston, that is no use. You are lying. You still think there are four.

    How many fingers, please?’

’Four! five! Four! Anything you like. Only stop it, stop the pain!

    -1984 by George Orwell.

I enjoyed the whole chapter regarding the questioning of the fingers. It's less of an interrogation, and more part of the overall process of breaking Winston down, reducing him to a shell of a man.

So although the above scene is in a novel, it has been made into many adaptations, and one of which must have (or I will give up hope for humanity yet again ;) included this scene.

BQ: Avengers was good. Not my favorite (!!) superhero movie, but definitely above average.

BQ2 He's making a Shakespeare play?? Crikes....that will be quite something. I wonder if he can outdo Kenneth Branagh....

BQ3 Never heard of it. Sorry.

BQ4 I am unclear on what this question means.

I don't really like interrogation scenes in movies, most of the time it's over-dramatized and unrealistic if not completely illegal (like in the case of the Dark Knight). The police pretty much act like thugs in TV shows, but they pass it off as justified because the "bad guy" is always some classic piece of scum that they make sure everybody hates. I liked the Avengers okay, but I thought some of the stuff was gratingly annoying, like when the aircraft carrier turned into a hovercraft like something out of Avatar, or pretty much everything about how they did the alien invaders in the final battle.

I don't have any specific season/scene but I loved Jack Bauer's interrogations from 24, specially near the end of the series (season 07, 08) where he was depicted a little bit as capable of anything and even the friendlies were afraid of him.

These are the first that came to mind:

TV Show: The Sopranos - Adriana La Cerva gets questioned by the FBI and vomits. Season 2 and Season 6 are my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL3THOczjW8

Movie: Syriana - Bob Barnes (Clooney) gets interrogated/tortured by Jimmy. The scene makes me hurt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jcESJI_KOA

    BQ: N/A - I've heard good things.

BQ2: Filmed at Whedon's house is all I've read.

    BQ3: N/A. I'll try and catch it.

    BQ4: Things are good.

Not so much interrogation, as cross-examination - the court scene from "A few good men"...is that ok?

And of course, ''hand me the keys, you c*cksucher'' in The Usual Suspects.

BQ: I really enjoyed it. It isn't in my all time favourites as I like to give every movie I see some time and a couple of rewatches before I make up my mind.

    BQ2: Sorry, no.

    BQ3: Unfamiliar with it.

    BQ4: Same old, same old.

Definently the one from The Dark Knight.

"You shouldnt do that to a suspect, it makes their memory a little fuzzy" Im not sure if the quote is spot on though. XD
