What does no tea no shade mean?

I think it was no tree, no shade.

I have not seen the show but to me it means there is nowhere outside to sit outside in a shaded area to have tea. ie no gazebo

As you wrote, it is 'no tea no shade'.

It is used at the beginning of a sentence and means, "I'm not trying to offend you..." and then they go right ahead and offend you.
