Why are people from India so picky about light bulbs? I work at WalMart and they are the only group like that.?

Sometimes they will spend an hour or more decided between clear light and soft light, yellow light and white light etc. I'm not dissing them, it's just that I'm curious. Is it a cultural thing? I have never seen a group of people who are overall so fussy about light bulbs.
