Could it be usual for a man to reject a future date because she was his first since his divorce?

Anything is possible. Maybe he's not ready for a new relationship and just wants to get laid.

If the divorce is less than two years old, AND the man has not received ANY form of psychological counseling, then he SHOULD refuse the date.

It take about TWO YEARS for anyone, man or woman, to get "over" their breakup, their sense of loss, the feelings of betrayal and abandonment. Seeking Grief Counseling or a Divorce Recovery Group can shorten this time SOME, but no more than a year.

Dating before that time is just a Rebound Relationship; it is doomed to failure. The smart woman WILL NOT date a man who is not COMPLETELY over his divorce, and time is a critical element.

Yes....some guys may know the "rebound factor" and actually postpone dating the woman they ultimately want to be with whole they sew their oats after a divorce. Few idiot men actually marry their rebound woman thinking they are truly in love, only to divorce those women, marry the next rebound and repeat mindlessly. Its like watching a train wreck.
