is there a certain way i should check my dog for ticks?

    There isn't a super simple answer. Running your hands along your pup's body will generally show you where any engorged ticks are, as you will feel lumps that are not normally there. Check favorite tick locations such as between the toes, around the paw pads, in the curve where pup's legs connect to her body, inside of the ears, and under the neck. Ticks can attach anywhere though, so a fully body rub-down is your best bet.

    Applying a topical solution for ticks and fleas is the easiest preventative.
